Rotary Watches

Rotary Watches

Since their 1895 launch in La-Chaux-De-Fonds, Switzerland, Rotary had a very clear philosophy. They wanted to make high quality timepieces that people could afford. Many brands have had this philosophy, but few did as good of a job with it as Rotary.

In 1935 they launched their first shockproof watch, and in turn, this lead to them becoming the official supplier for the British Military during WW2. A true testament to the quality of their products.

Britain has always been the playground of Rotary, with a majority of their sales happening over there. While the brand has changed drastically over the years, their main focus is still Britain.

The golden days of Rotary ended around 1970. As the Asian market produced more and more affordable and precise quartz watches, the Swiss Made mechanicals lost much of their standing. Although the brand survived the quartz crisis, they have shifted from being a Swiss Made only brand, to having global production of their British designs.

Now, I wish to make the point that Rotary watches are some of the very best value for money brands in vintage Swiss watchmaking. Their focus on affordable quality and great design, has given them a timeless charm that you have the chance to experience at a surprisingly low cost.

We are happy to present two different models for sale at this weeks drop. Both are regulated to run well within what you expect from a vintage watch, and are available for less than $200 if you subscribe to the newsletter. Check them out on Friday 22.05.2026
